We design and build modular skate parks with the client’s planned budget in mind — from compact sports areas with a basic selection of elements to large multifunctional complexes. The modular design helps optimise construction costs and, when needed, allows the skate park to be gradually expanded with new structures without requiring a complete reconstruction of the entire facility.
Skate Park Element Construction
MIRTA skate park structures are designed with intensive use, high dynamic loads, and the specific characteristics of each site in mind. Depending on site conditions and the project solution, modules can be installed on a prepared concrete base or on a specialised surface made from plastic panels.
The load-bearing framework of the elements is made from structural timber or profiled steel tubing. Moisture-resistant plywood, galvanised steel, and wear-resistant finishing materials are used to form riding surfaces and individual structural components.
For ramps, we use specialised riding surfaces that provide optimal grip and smooth movement for the polyurethane wheels of skateboards, inline skates, and scooters, as well as the rubber tyres used on BMX bikes.
All wooden components undergo protective treatment against moisture and weather exposure, while metal structures receive corrosion protection to improve resistance to wear and extend their service life. Thoughtful engineering, reliable connections, and carefully selected materials provide strength, stability, and long-term durability, even under regular and intensive use.
Skate Park Elements and Equipment
MIRTA designs and manufactures modular skate parks with a wide range of elements for both street and transition riding. This makes it possible to create functional action sports facilities for training, skill development, and performing tricks.
The configuration may include:
Quarter pipes, mini ramps, bank ramps, pyramids, funboxes, spines, hips, roll-ins, and rollers — elements designed for building speed, changing riding direction, performing jumps and transfers, and riding on curved surfaces.
For practising technical tricks, we also manufacture manual boxes, grind boxes, ledges, flat rails, down rails, A-frames, stairs, and hubbas. These elements allow riders to develop balance and practise manuals, grinds, slides, ollies, and other tricks associated with street riding.
For more advanced and specialised areas, a project can also include bowls, pools, wall rides, volcanoes, cradles, and other transition structures designed for continuous riding, gaining height, and mastering more advanced techniques.
